Father Plus ：VFX Career Experience Day

I had the opportunity to lead a guided walkthrough of Vancouver Film School’s film studio for a group of students aged 10 to 16, along with their parents. I introduced them to the basics of visual effects production, demonstrating how green screen footage is captured and how digital environments are created to bring cinematic scenes to life.

In the second half of the session, I gave a talk on the film and animation industry — covering production workflows, career development, and the evolving role of technology. Using examples from projects like Avengers, John Wick, and Aquaman, I explained how creativity and technical skills come together in visual storytelling. It was great to see both kids and parents actively engaging with questions about education, software, and future opportunities in the field.
